PHOTOGRAPHER Nanncy A. Fredrickson was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and raised in the town of New Market, Minnesota, where she grew up close to many relatives in town and on nearby farms. In 1970 she married Gordon, and during his first teaching position they moved to a farm in west central Minnesota, where Nancy became a farmer. She learned to raise baby calves, feed cattle, farrow hogs, drive tractors, do field work, grow a large garden, and bake homemade bread. Now retired from many years of office work as an administrative assistant and billing auditor, Nancy works full-time marketing and selling her husband’s books and assisting with book layout. She is also a quilter and an avid photographer: farming and travel are her main sources of inspiration for both activities. |
